Important information about your insurance:
Many insurance companies list special instructions on the card about pre-certification or prior authorization for services. That means you are required to contact the company before you're admitted to the hospital (even for an emergency admission) and before you register for any other hospital services.  Check your card, If it shows that you must call your insurance company for authorization, please make sure that you or a member of your family notifies the company without delay.

Medications/Prescriptions
While you are a patient, your St. Luke's physician will prescribe all of your medications.   Do not take any medications prescribed by your home country physicians unless instructed to do so by your St. Luke's physician.  For your convenience, a pharmacy is located at the O’Quinn Towers (bridge connected to St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital) should you require to fill your prescriptions prior to your departure.
