Women's Platinum Additional Services
Recommendation for women age 50 and older:
- All the Platinum Services above plus
- Pelvic Exam & Mammogram
OPTIONAL SERVICES
- Colonoscopy
-
- Sedation eliminates the discomfort of this procedure; therefore a second screening day is necessary for this procedure.
- Recommendation:
-
- 50+ years: Baseline colonoscopy if no family history of polyps or colon cancer. Repeat one every 10 years if baseline is normal.
- 49 and younger: If there is a family history of polyps or colon cancer the recommendation is to do a baseline at least 5 years earlier than the lowest age any family member was diagnosed with the polyp or cancer (unless you know for a fact that the polyp was hyperplastic since this type poses no risk for cancer).
- Heart Scan
-
- This is a CT-scan type test for persons wishing to determine whether they have coronary heart disease. The limitation to this test is that it detects only calcifications within the coronary arteries. While this may be a sign of coronary artery disease, we cannot currently be sure whether this represents significant disease without additional testing. Additionally, this test does not detect “soft plaque”, that is, blockages within the coronary artery that may be significant but lack significant amounts of calcium. The American Heart Association does not currently recommend this test for routine use.
- Bone Density Study
-
- This is a scan to measure bone mass; it aids in the diagnosis of osteoporosis.
- Wellness Coach Consultation
-
- Meet with a wellness coach and review your results and develop a plan of action to enhance and improve your health. Depending on individual goals your wellness coach may be a dietician, exercise physiologist or a health educator.
- Massage Therapy
-
- A fifteen-minute chair massage is included with every Executive Health Package. An additional fifteen minutes may be purchased.
